Borivoj re-joined Cushman & Wakefield Hospitality in May 2018 and is based in Prague, Czech Republic. His responsibility is to lead the Strategic Advisory and Research activities across EMEA region and support Cushman & Wakefield offices with any hospitality matters.
Development Advisory – Borivoj worked directly on over 300 feasibility and development advisory projects primarily in Europe and Asia Pacific and during the last five years also supervised teams completing projects in excess of 250 per year. The range of assignments included market analysis & outlooks, best-and-highest use, concept recommendations, P&L forecasts and valuations pertaining to major branded hotels from budget to luxury tiers as well as integrated resorts, hotels within mixed-use developments, branded residences, serviced apartments, boutique hotels, convention hotels, airport hotels, hostels, ski resorts etc.
Operator Selection – While in advisory roles, Borivoj worked on wide range of operator selection and commercial terms negotiation assignments including franchise agreements, management contracts and leases. Furthermore, Borivoj gained unique insights into various deal structures and commercial terms while working in senior roles for major international operators, where he was underwriting and/or approving over 75 deals per year across Europe and Africa.
Asset Management – Borivoj’s operational background, analytical skills and ability to think out-the-box to identify opportunities to unlock the value from hotel assets has been deployed across number of asset management assignments including hotel renovations, extensions, repositioning, performance health-checks, sell-or-hold analysis or budget reviews.
Strategic Advisory & Research – Throughout his career Borivoj worked on wide range of strategic advisory & research projects across the globe, such as investment trends reviews and market outlooks, group expansion strategic plans, optimal business models advisory, impact of major events, competitive brand incremental impact studies or supply & demand gap analysis.
