CHICAGO - Cushman & Wakefield (NYSE: CWK), a leading global real estate services firm, has been named to Forbes’ annual list of America’s Best Employers for Women 2020. This prestigious award is presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider.
“Over the past several years, we’ve focused on increasing representation of women at our firm globally,” said Michelle Hay, Chief Human Resources Officer. “We’re proud that our employees recognize Cushman & Wakefield as a great place for women, and this award reinforces our commitment to building an environment where all our people can succeed, grow and develop. We know there is still work to do, and we are excited to continue investing in diversity, equity and inclusion at our firm.”
America’s Best Employers for Women were chosen based on an independent survey from a vast sample of 75,000 U.S. employees—45,000 of which are women—working for companies employing at least 1,000 people in their U.S. operations. Forbes took both direct and indirect recommendations into consideration to curate the list and looked at share of women in executive management or board positions. Of the thousands of companies considered for this recognition across all industry sectors, Cushman & Wakefield is one of only 300 to be awarded.
“We’re honored to be recognized by Forbes. We continue to get better thanks to the efforts and ingenuity of diverse voices in our organization,” said Andrew McDonald, Chief Executive, Americas.
For the past three years, more than 40% of Cushman & Wakefield’s new hires were women, totaling 43% in 2019. Women represented 39% of the company’s total workforce in 2019.
Additionally, Cushman & Wakefield’s employee resource group WIN (Women’s Integrated Network), whose mission is to accelerate the advancement of women at the firm, currently has more than 2,500 members in 48 chapters around the world.
