How do you create value for your clients?
Every client has a unique set of fingerprints. My team's first and foremost priority is uncovering our clients' needs and objectives that will ultimately frame their real estate strategy. This preliminary discovery step is of utmost value to our clients, as it allows for full solution customization and tailoring.
What innovative trends across Workplace and PropTech are you leveraging in your market or sector to help keep your clients competitive?
All occupiers are currently trying to understand the logistics behind the hybrid workplace model and its effects on employees, company culture, and real estate. One of the most important questions we are helping our clients answer is: "How do we ensure right people are in the office at the right time?" Delivering a platform of services that assist with this answer is a game changer.
If you had a lens into the future, where do you think Occupiers will be most focused in 2025?
We foresee the rebirth of office culture taking place by 2024/2025, albeit in a different capacity than pre-pandemic standards. The office of the future will become an equivalent of a "social club", which employees will use predominantly for collaboration, mentorship, and socialization. By 2025, we envision even late adopters of return-to-office to be drawn back for the fear of "missing out", but only in a flexible and hybrid form.

Katya is the Vice President of Office Leasing in Cushman & Wakefield's Downtown Toronto office with over 9 years of commercial real estate experience. Katya specializes in tenant representation, lease renewals, office relocations, national portfolio optimization and strategic acquisitions/dispositions. Katya has an impressive list of long-term professional services clients - a product of her strong relationship-building approach and commitment to putting the clients' requirements first. Katya is actively involved with the Cushman & Wakefield's Tenant Advisory Group and leads the Third Thursday Committee.
Katya has been named one of C&W’s top producers in GTA and across Canada in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 and qualified for the President’s Round Table award in the above years. She was also awarded SIOR Young Professional of the Year award in 2017 based on her transactional experience, industry reputation and community involvement.
Major clients include Royal Bank of Canada (global), Deloitte (national), Bank of Montreal, Franklin Templeton Investments, Canaccord, Invesco, ivari, Bell Canada, McCarthy Tetrault, University Pension Plan.

Katya is an active member on the committees of the following organizations: NAIOP (member of the Development Challenge committee), CoreNet (member of the Programming committee), Junior Achievement (lead advisor for Company Program and member of the Golf Committee), chair of Women Behaving Boldly (annual event in support of Peel Children’s Aid Foundation) and a chair of the Cushman Wellness Program in Toronto.
