Sheri McEwen brings 17 years of experience in retail leasing in Canada. She has experience in diverse retail assets (hybrid, outlet, fashion) across Canada, including redevelopment projects, and her specialty is in building and executing merchandise strategy. Sheri started her career in the retail real estate industry as a Property Manager of a 1.2M sf asset with Ivanhoe Cambridge, transitioning into leasing where she worked for 15 years in various positions, and as a result in her work, she thinks like an owner.
For the last two years, Sheri was with Epic Investment Services working on the Asset Management team, overseeing a portfolio of enclosed retail that included 3 of the top 10 malls in Canada, where she was also responsible for new business development. Sheri is a licensed Salesperson in the province of Ontario and will be obtaining her Broker’s license in the coming year.
- Recipient of internal leasing awards (2011-2016) including Most GLA leased, Highest Deal count
- First Sephora store in any Mills property in North America (Vaughan Mills, 2016), overcoming retailer reluctance to open in a hybrid property. Success of store led to a second deal at CrossIron Mills.
- First four Under Armour Outlets in Canada (Vaughan Mills 2017, Outlet Collection Niagara, Outlet Collection Winnipeg.
- Negotiated multi-property deal with Tapestry including 4 Kate Spade and 2 Coach stores (2018).
