About Us

Better for Nature

Hektar Nektar’s Projekt 2028 is an initiative to achieve a 10% increase in the bee population in Germany and Austria by 2028. We support this with sponsorship providing half a three-quarter million bees with a home.

We have two beehive near each of our five German locations  home for a total of a three-quarter million bees. Bees are enormously important for our natural balance and thus ultimately for our continued existence. Our commitment to these tiny creatures, which are about 13 millimetres long, is therefore important and makes sense.

Each of our beehives is looked after by professional beekeepers, as part of the Hektar Nektar beekeeping Project 2028, which aims to, and will, increase the bee population by ten percent over the next few years. The project is financed by donations and companies that, like ourselves, sponsor new hives.

"Sustainability begins small but has a big impact in the end. Our bee project makes a contribution to insect protection and also raises awareness of it – and thus ultimately contributes to the stability of our ecosystem.“
