K.K. Chiu is Chief Executive of Greater China at Cushman & Wakefield with over 40 years’ experience in the real estate industry, advising clients of the best solutions across the entire real estate life cycle. Over the past 40 years, K.K. has been a core leader in the company’s Greater China business space. He was the Head of Valuation & Advisory, Asia Pacific, providing strategic advice to clients in support of accounting and public listings, real estate planning, development, and business valuation for numerous corporate operations. Prior to co-founding the company (formerly known as DTZ) in 1993, K.K. worked in another international consultancy firm for nine years, where he was a Director of the Valuation department.

 

Staying actively involved in the affairs of his profession, K.K. is the representative of The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS) at the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC) and is a member of the Working Group of the Advisory Forum. Between 2005 and 2009, he was a Board Member of IVSC.

 

He is the Past President (President from 2021 to 2022) and the current Chairman of the Housing Policy Panel, and Co-Chairman of the Working Group on Sustainability, and formerly the Chairman of the General Practice Division, of The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS) (2015-2017 / 2017-2019), as well as a General Council Member of both the HKIS and the China Institute of Real Estate Appraisers. He is a member of the Working Group for Valuation Standards of the HKIS and was the Chairman of the Board of Membership from 1999 to 2005. In the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), K.K. served as a member of the Asia Valuation Board from 2010 to 2016 and is currently the non-executive member of the Asia Pacific World Regional Board and non-executive Co-Chair of the China Regional Advisory Board.

 

Appointed by The Hong Kong SAR Government, K.K. was a member of the Land and Development Advisory Committee (LDAC) (2021-2024) under the Development Bureau, and is a member of the Sub-Committee on Planning, Land and Conservation of the Advisory Committee on the Northern Metropolis, which advises the government on policies and procedures in relation to planning, land and building matters. Currently he is a member of the Appeal Board Panel of Town Planning under the Town Planning Ordinance, a member of the Estate Agents Authority under the Estate Agents Ordinance, and a Committee Member of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council Infrastructure Development Advisory Committee.
