Annelou de Groot will join from IWG as Head of Netherlands
Lokerse appointed as firm’s Head of Product Innovation after 10 years running the firm’s business in the Netherlands
De Groot is joining from IWG, the world’s largest flexible workplace provider. During her time with IWG she has held several senior strategic leadership roles, most recently as Director of Partnership Growth for Southern & Western Europe. Prior to this she spent eight years leading Dynamis, a commercial and residential real estate agency with 50 offices throughout the Netherlands.
Under Lokerse’s leadership Cushman & Wakefield has become a market leader in the Netherlands, with an expanded range of services and diversified revenue stream. Lokerse has also been responsible for many successful new products and client solutions adopted by the firm in EMEA and globally. These include the 6 Feet Office concept which launched in the early stages of the pandemic and helped companies around the world prepare for employees’ safe return to the office.
In his new role, Lokerse will partner with the firm’s Technology & Data Solutions and Investment teams to bring forward value-adding, scalable new products that enable Cushman & Wakefield to do more for its clients, enhancing productivity and insight and unlocking new revenue opportunities. He will report to Nathaniel Robinson, Chief Investment Officer and Executive Vice President, Strategic Planning.
Colin Wilson, Chief Executive, EMEA, Cushman & Wakefield, said: “I am excited about what Annelou will bring to our business – both locally and in EMEA – as she builds on our existing success in the Netherlands. She is an experienced and highly regarded leader with a strong track record of delivering results and driving an inclusive culture. Succession planning is an important aspect of running our business and Annelou is someone we identified as an outstanding candidate and a great fit for Cushman & Wakefield.
“Jeroen has been an outstanding contributor to the success of our business, both as Head of Netherlands and as a member of our EMEA leadership team. He has a special talent for harnessing data and analytics to identify opportunities to create value for our clients and our business and his new global role provides the opportunity to expand this work.”
Annelou de Groot, incoming Head of Netherlands, Cushman & Wakefield, said: “I am really looking forward to joining Cushman & Wakefield, a real estate leader in the Netherlands and globally, especially during a fascinating period of evolution for the industry. I am used to leading motivated and highly skilled teams and will be focused on continued excellence in the services we deliver to clients. I am also fully committed to further diversifying our workforce and supporting an inclusive working environment where all colleagues can get the best out of themselves.”
Jeroen Lokerse, Head of Product Innovation, Cushman & Wakefield, said:
“Data and analytics are increasing the transparency of real estate as an asset class and driving improved insight and decision making across all aspects of the industry. This has been a passion of mine across my entire career. I am excited to continue this work and deliver value in this new global role.”
De Groot will join as Head of Netherlands on 1 June. She and Lokerse will work together on a smooth transition, after which Lokerse will relocate to New York.
