Cushman & Wakefield, along with another consultancy, facilitated the second largest transaction recorded in Zone 2 in 2024 and announced the leasing of the entire Niña Building, located at Avenida 5 de Outubro nº 206, by Lusitania Seguros.
In this process, the consultancies represented the building's owner, the Real Estate Investment Fund – Imofomento, managed by BPI Gestão de Ativos, SA. Additionally, C&W also provided workplace strategy, interior design, and project monitoring services for the insurer.
The Niña Building has an area of 3,803 sqm, distributed over nine floors of office space above ground and 76 underground parking spaces. Located near the Entrecampos intermodal station, the property, which will become the new headquarters of Lusitania Seguros from July 2025, benefits from good access to public transport and quick road links to other parts of the city. Lusitania Seguros entered the insurance market in 1986 as the first insurance company with 100% national capital. Integrated into the Montepio Group, it has 37 years of activity in the Non-Life sector.
According to Francisco Vasconcellos, Associate, Head of Tenant Representation at Cushman & Wakefield,
“this lease not only reflects the mutual trust between the parties but also reinforces the importance of creating strategic synergies between leading companies and quality office spaces. I believe this operation will bring added value, both for Lusitania, by providing a space that meets its needs, and for BPI GA, the building owner, by ensuring a solid and prestigious tenant.”
It is noteworthy that this is the second largest transaction recorded in Zone 2 to date in 2024, with Deloitte's lease in the Rato 11 building being the largest deal recorded. In the identified area, 31 transactions were recorded up to November this year, corresponding to a total area of 26,670 sqm.
