The Challenge
NN planned to move into their 3800 sq. m building, situated in the old city of Bratislava that needed complete refurbishment. The project was complicated by the request from the client to keep two department in the building during reconstruction. Cushman & Wakefield Project Management & Consultancy team in Slovakia has been appointed to run the project.
The Solution
The project took 5 months from final space plan preparation, tender process, contractor appointment to actual contraction work, including demolition, and move in.
To meet client request to keep two department in the building during reconstruction, Project Management & Consultancy team adjusted the work schedule. Departments were relocated from one floor to another to make sure that project runs seamlessly.
The team were constantly fighting with problems and hidden traps in the old building but due to the smooth cooperation between all parties involved, all issues were solved on site without any impact to schedule.
The team working on the project included Radoslav Blazo and Veronika Ondrikova.
The Results
Project was handed over in time and within the agreed budget thanks to proper change management done on daily basis together with risk management controlled and updated on weekly basis.
Project Management & Consultancy team has applied smart solutions to achieve 153 000 EUR saving to initial estimated budget of 1.45 ml EUR. This allowed the client to invest into the new BMS for the HVAC system to be able to run and control the building more effectively in future.
