In Q3 2024, the fringe area of Hanoi, with the opening of two new retail podiums developed by BRG Group, continues to be a bright spot in the city's development. Helping the total retail supply in Hanoi reach nearly 1.4 million sqm, up 0.3% QoQ and 1.1% YoY.
Hanoi is an attractive market for both domestic and international retailers thanks to a young customer base with good purchasing power. Development expectations are not only placed on traditional retailers serving essential needs (such as supermarkets, F&B, fashion). Instead, new businesses with innovative ideas and unique business models will be introduced, promising to attract customers to new retail spaces, such as eSports stadiums or exhibition and experience areas.
