Hop, skip and a jump for Elizabeth Andrews Catering
01 THE CHALLENGE
Recently, Steve Makris, Director of Business and Retail Services, provided a comprehensive portfolio solution to prominent Melbourne hospitality operator, Elizabeth Andrews Catering.
The operator previously occupied 309 King Street Melbourne, a property no longer feasible due to incoming high-rise development. Whilst a move to a purpose-built facility was imminent, Elizabeth Andrews Catering required an interim location to sustain business during this transition between properties
The operator previously occupied 309 King Street Melbourne, a property no longer feasible due to incoming high-rise development. Whilst a move to a purpose-built facility was imminent, Elizabeth Andrews Catering required an interim location to sustain business during this transition between properties
02 THE SOLUTION
To meet these interim location requirements whilst supporting the growth of Elizabeth Andrews Catering, Steve engaged with and completed the acquisition of Crave Catering, including their property in Bromham Place, Richmond. This property would serve as suitable make-shift operations hub for the now expanded Elizabeth Andrews Catering business, until the purpose-built facility was due for completion.
The purpose-built facility is located at 96 Rosslyn Street, West Melbourne. This property is famously known as the previous home to Morgan’s Hamburger Bun manufacturing, which had operated locally for over 50 years. This was a perfect site to host the expansion of Elizabeth Andrews Catering throughout their growth trajectory.
Following the business transition to this new facility at 96 Rosslyn Street, Steve engaged with a network of operators in Melbourne, and found a tenant for the now-vacant Bromham Place, Richmond property. This was hastily secured by a Korean operator who runs a multitude of restaurants around Melbourne.
