What is the Tertiary Decree?

 

Entering into force on October 1, 2019, the tertiary decree specifies the conditions of application of article 175 of the ÉLAN External Link law (Evolution of Housing, Development and Digital). The latter encourages action in the face of the challenges of the energy transition.

Also called tertiary Eco energy, this system requires buildings for tertiary use to reduce their energy consumption according to a defined schedule. The tertiary decree requires tertiary buildings to reduce their energy consumption by more than 40% by 2030, 50% by 2040 and 60% by 2050.
