Ana Luisa Cabrita joined the consultancy in early 2023 as Head of Sustainability & ESG to develop a sustainability and ESG area at a local level. She has the responsibility to design, define and implement sustainability and ESG strategies for the wide range of the consultant's clients, and coordinates consultancy projects in various areas of the company's business. The professional now accumulates functions in Europe, remaining responsible for defining the strategy and coordinating teams in the various geographies where C&W provides its Asset Management services (property management).
With a degree in Environmental Engineering from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, her academic career also includes a Master's in Environmental Engineering and also a Master's in Social Business from IES. Among other executive training, she has an Executive MBA from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas and actively works in several national and international organizations.
Miguel Harrington Sena, joined C&W in 2013 and he is responsible for the C&W’s marketing and communications department at a local level. His responsibility is to define, coordinate and implement the strategy and the various marketing and communications initiatives of C&W in Portugal, supporting all service lines. He now accumulates functions with the role of EMEA Lead Sustainability Services Marketing, where he will be responsible for implementing a marketing and communication strategy in the area of sustainability and ESG for the EMEA region, namely in the corporate area, services and internal comms.
He has a degree in Communications from Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias, a Master's degree in Marketing from ISEG and a postgraduate degree in Content Marketing from Universidade Católica Portuguesa, having also completed multiple training courses over the last few years.
About this promotion, Ana Luísa Cabrita, comments “After a year of joining Cushman & Wakefield, the invitation to expand my functions was a huge recognition for my daily work and it is with a huge sense of responsibility that I take this EMEA role. Obviously, the work carried out would not have been possible without the incredible team that is, and will continue, with me offering ESG consultancy services at a local level. In this new role, I will also be focused on Asset Services, in order to continue working on the ever greater integration of ESG into our business as usual and responding to the ESG needs of our international clients, in a more efficient and efficient way, ensuring the alignment of the specialized services we provide in different countries. In recent years, sustainability and ESG have irreversibly asserted themselves in the real estate sector, and the asset operations have to respond to this reality, by extending the life cycle of buildings, either by improving them or by ensuring they are properly managed”.
For Miguel Harrington Sena “It is an honour to be able to take on a regional role in the company, even more in an area that is absolutely strategic for C&W and our clients. The indicators and terms are complex and therefore the challenge is even greater. It is up to us to convey in a practical and clear way what services we can provide to help our clients make the transition. Sustainability is and will be the buzz for the coming years and as a marketing professional, there is a long way to go to take to raise awareness among the various audiences that they need to act now.”
According to Eric van Leuven, Head of Portugal, “It is a source of pride to see that two of our Portuguese employees are recognized at an international level in an area as relevant as contributing to a more sustainable (real estate) world”.
