Cushman & Wakefield, a global real estate services firm, supported Zeeman’s arrival in Póvoa de Varzim - the fourth store of the Dutch chain specializing in basic and quality clothing and textile products at the lowest prices. The store, covering an area of 250 sq.m, opened on March 20 at Avenida Almirante Reis, nº42-44. C&W represented Zeeman in this operation.
Zeeman, founded in 1967 in the Netherlands, offers a range of basic products across four main categories: baby and children’s clothing, tights and socks, bed, bath, and kitchen textiles, and underwear, lingerie, and pajamas. The multinational already boasts over 1,300 stores spread across eight countries.
In Portugal, Zeeman has focused on the northern region, where the other three stores of the brand are located (Matosinhos, Vila Nova de Gaia, and Porto).
Susana Pires, a consultant in Cushman & Wakefield Portugal’s retail department in Porto, comments,
“The fourth Zeeman opening in Portugal, with the support of Cushman & Wakefield, signifies retailers’ confidence in implementing their expansion strategy. Zeeman’s expansion in the northern region reflects the dynamism of the retail market, particularly in terms of proximity and convenience.”
It’s worth noting that Cushman & Wakefield supported Zeeman’s arrival in Portugal in 2023.
