As the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic Regional President, Roberta Liss is responsible for Cushman & Wakefield’s entire business in the Sunbelt States including Florida, Georgia, The Carolinas, Tennessee, Alabama, and the Mid-Atlantic including the Washington, D.C. Metro Region and Baltimore. Roberta is responsible for transformation and growth of the entire business, client relationships, talent development and performance management across the Southeast U.S. She is a senior leader in the Americas Management Team. Prior to this role, Roberta served as President, East Region, overseeing all of Cushman & Wakefield’s business in one-third of the US. She partnered with leaders in Chicago, Minneapolis, Boston, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, D.C., Bethesda and Tysons Corner offices to advance corporate strategic growth, transformation and operational optimization initiatives. She joined Cassidy Turley/DTZ, a predecessor Cushman & Wakefield company, in 2015 and served as Managing Principal for the Washington, D.C. Metro, President Mid-Atlantic and Midwest including Chicago and Minneapolis, and President of the Northeast including Boston, New York City, New Jersey, Philadelphia and Baltimore. 

Prior to joining Cassidy Turley, Roberta was a principal at BECO and served as the VP of Acquisitions, Leasing and Marketing. Prior to joining BECO Management, she was Executive Vice President of CBRE in Washington, D.C., where she was a tenant and landlord broker and led strategic planning efforts. She also has served as Director of Brokerage for Washington, D.C. and Maryland at Trammell Crow Co. where she was a principal and led capital markets, tenant representation, agency leasing, retail leasing and tax appeal. 

During her 41-year career, Roberta has executed transactions totaling more than 60 million square feet of space, has transacted eight building sales, and has advised Fortune 100 companies, financial institutions, health care companies, institutional owners and private developers on real estate matters, transactions, workplace solutions, strategic planning, development and finance. 

She holds a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering from Penn State and started her career in construction and development. 

Roberta served as a board member for The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington, Penn State’s Architectural Engineering and Advisory Board, and the College of Engineering Advisory Board. She is currently a member of The Economic Club of Washington, D.C., Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Association of Greater Washington, D.C. (CREBA), Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and NAIOP (Commercial Real Estate Development Association).
