James G. Smith began his real estate career in 1980 with Frank L. Smith Co., which merged with one of Cushman & Wakefield’s predecessor companies in 1997. Jim specializes in tenant representation and office leasing. In 1982, Jim joined Harbert Properties in Birmingham, AL, as Director of Marketing/Sales for the company’s 3,000 acre Riverchase development. Jim moved to Orlando, FL, in 1985 to open a new office for the firm, and act as their Director of Leasing for Class A office developments. In 1991, he returned to Nashville to lead the office division of Frank L. Smith Co. He also served as Managing Principal of the Nashville office for five years.
